On the 21st of August a vulture fell from the cliff below the „Križić“. We were informed of this by Mr Robert Malatestinić. Our volunteers Caroline, Adrian, Tena, Leona and Dea, lead by Daria, Vesna and Mario Sintić were again successful in rescuing the stranded vulture. The vulture was not tagged, and was named Eric offer Mr Sintić's son. Upon arriving the Eco – center, the vulture was wet, but otherwise in good condition. After being fed meat strips and given water, he was released into the ariary along with the other vultures, who will successfully continue to teach Eric how to fly and feed independently.

On Saturday 24th July during the 20th anniversary of the organization Tramuntana, president of Tramuntana Nino Nančinović awarded our Eco-centre with a letter of thanks for the longterm cooperation. We are hoping that Tramuntana, that lives and preserves the tradition of this part of the island of Cres, will be succesfull in future, in which they will always have our support and help.

On the 29th July, during the regular monitoring of the colony, our volunteers guided by Bero, saved a griffon named Dinara, from the sea. Griffon was exhausted, weak and he didn´t take food that we offered him. He weighed just a little bit more then 5 kg, so we didn´t release him in the flying cage with other griffons but we kept him in quarantine, to feed him untill he gets strenght to continue his recovery in the big flying cage. With Dinara, we know take care about 20 griffons in the rescue centre.

On 27th July a griffon fell from the cliff Kruna near Beli, and a local fisherman managed to put him on a rock. It was a griffon named Velebit, and after our volunteer Bettina adopted him, his name will be Betty. Griffon weighed 7,5 kg, and thanks to Bonk, he was succesfully transported to the rescue centre of Eco-centre.

Children are our dear guests, We are telling them a story about how we help the Nature and how Nature helps us. In the house of fairy Tramuntana they can leave messages and suggestions how they do it and in which way they would like to help.

Exhibition area of our Eco-centre is enriched with one more attractive sign, that explains in a funny way how to check the weather, by the help of a hanging stone next to the table. We believe our visitors will have fun reading the instructions.

On Sunday 18th July, after a call from Orlec that there is a griffon saved from the sea, members of our team Bero and Bonk went to get him. It is this years´ griffon Japica, it weighed 7,5 kg, and after taking some food and water, it joined the other griffons in our rescue centre. Now there are 18 griffons in our rescue centre.
